Photographing a Photographer, by Christopher Johnson
Award Winner | Photo of the Day | August 13, 2011
On the top of Mauna Kea, I had just arrived and was in the midst of the sunset, I was seeking some inspiration for a shot. Cold, shivering, the cloudless sky wasn’t working for a breath taking scenic, so I had to step back. To my surprise I discovered the silhouette of another photographer shooting the sunrise. Without pause, I began shooting the photographer, which became my favorite shot of the trip.
