While climbing the mountain area with our jeep in the area of Sapa, Vietnam, we were passing by an accident of two cars at the bend of the curvy road. Nothing serious happened except some scratches of bumpers, but local Hmong people started gathering around. That gave me a great opportunity to take photographs when their attention was focused on the plot. This girl in the photograph was assisting her older sisters for carrying grass.

Apart from trading flowers, you can observe many other sales activities there as the whole families of Hmong people come to this market for trading. It is also a target destination for many photographers to photograph the ‘unforgettable’ Hmong Tribe.

I took the photograph of this little girl in Nong Khiaw area in Laos, in December 2012. Nong Khiaw is situated above the Nam Ou river, with beautiful views on the river and peaks around. I had rented a boat from a local fisherman and went together down the river to the abandoned village where I couldn’t entered from the ground side. So with a box of sweets and basic school tools we were exploring this local community together with a crowd of kids around. They were very curious to see what was in the box.

In the hill tracks areas of Bandarban, where the border of Bangladesh about to end you can find many small tribal villages spread throughout the valleys. In one of those villages located high above the foothill, I saw this beautiful young tribal girl feeding her chickens beneath an aged tree. Not only these girls go to school but they also take care of their household chores and feed their animals. And when they do all these daily hard works, they always have their faces proudly painted with mud to show who they are and what tradition they belong to.
