Diyarbakir is a city on the southeast of the Turkey. The city I live, is known with a long and historic walls. Walls of Diyarbakir are more than five kilometers long, among the longest of medieval fortifications; only the Great Wall of China is longer. It is constructed of imposing masonry in black basalt (a stone of local origin), and had along its circuit more than 75 towers, all but six of which are still standing. There are four original gates in the wall, the Harput gate in the north, the New gate in the east, the Mardin gate to the south, and the Urfa gate to the west. The walls have a 2 thousand years history of more than.

What interested me to photograph the As-Shariff masjid, beyond its elegant architecture, was its vibrant yellow coat of paint against the deep blue sky in the early morning. My lens was fitted with a polarizer filter to accentuate the blue color of the sky as well as to enhance the contrast between the deep blue sky and the white cloud.

A beautiful blue sky and the Islamic architecture blending in harmony that reminds me of Allah, the most Gracious, most Merciful. It was taken after Zuhur prayer in Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur. If you look at the architecture carefully, it’s Islamic pop art, and the verse from Quran, Chapter 9 (18-22) on the beautiful wall, making it even more heavenly. The translations of those verses are as follows – 18. The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and establish prayer and give charity and do not fear except Allah, for it is expected that those will be of the rightly guided.
19. Have you made the providing of water for the pilgrim and the maintenance of al-Masjid al-Haram equal to the deeds of one who believes in Allah and the Last Day and strives in the cause of Allah? They are not equal in the sight of Allah. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
20. The ones who have believed, emigrated and striven in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives are greater in rank in the sight of Allah. And it is those who are the attainers of success.
21. Their Lord gives them good tidings of mercy from Him and approval and of gardens for them wherein is enduring pleasure.
22. They will be abiding therein forever. Indeed, Allah has with Him a great reward.
- Ameen.

Photographer: Ahmad Jaa (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)
Ahmad Jaa, is an ordinary person who enjoys photography. He is not a pro and his works never been published or exhibited anywhere before. He shoots what he likes and what interest him. He loves chocolates. Just that only recently, sometime early this year he started to enjoy more and thus shooting more and more. The joy and fun in photography to his is the most important thing. Without the fun factor, photography will not be a fun thing and a happy hobby. With fun, one will be happy and enjoying them and this will keep them moving forward. He will keep on improving, experimenting and shooting and hopefully will be a better photographer.

This photograph is of a beautiful symbolic Monument which is in Agra (India). That was the Sunset time, when it looks lovely as the sky goes dark, and the monument is getting more beautiful. When I was taking this picture, I just thought how the Great Taj will look when it is taken from corner angle, and the sky will put more effect on it or not . So here is my Imagination which I put it in front of you.

Photographer: Achintya Kumar Guchhait (Bangalore, India)
Achintya Kumar Guchhait started taking photos from a early age with a ‘Snapper’. In those days, he used to grab his father’s camera whenever he was not the subject. It was not until late 2008 when he bought his first digital camera, a canon s5is, and started taking snaps as he liked. With the luxury of capturing snaps and not printing them, it was a dream come true for him. He took up photography more seriously as a year passed. He is currently own a canon 500D. His kit contains a 18-55mm kit lens, a 55-250mm telephoto lens and a tripod. There are a few snaps in his profile using 50mm and 11-16mm lens from his friends.

Achintya likes to capture life as it is. He is a traveler who always makes sure to carry the camera. Life around, their coexistence with the human world appeals him. He is also love to capture human beings in the commonest of places. He has also captured a few portfolios and weddings. He is a techie by profession and a student of photography who takes lessons from all the works that he sees. Recently He got selected as a Getty contributor and added a 8mm Fish eye lens to his kit.
This is a little glimpse into the intricate architectural style of Morocco; except that the Moroccan Pavilion is not in Morocco but in Putrajaya Malaysia. It is a small splendid pavilion which contains several rooms adorned with traditional Moroccan furniture. The walls are either covered with elaborate and colourful mosaics or with bas relief of floral motifs. The geometrical shapes of the mosaics form part of what architects now call Islamic Design.

Her volunteer work consists of taking dignified portraits of rescued animals to give them the best chance they can get at adoption. She is very much concerned with animal welfare and cultivating self-confidence in young people.

The design of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque has been inspired by both Mughal and Moorish mosque architecture, particularly the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore and the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca being direct influences. The dome layout and floor plan of the mosque was inspired by the Badshahi Mosque and the architecture was inspired by both Mughal and Moorish design. This was taken an hour before the mosque closes for the evening.

Photographer: Jim Alonzo (Sharjah, UAE)
When Jim Alonzo had his first Instamatic camera (Olympus) in college, he never knew that it is going to be one of his passion. He set up a small studio and took pictures of his sisters and when he saw the photos he had taken, he said to himself “I think I’m loving this.” It’s been a year since he bought his own DSLR. His favorite subjects to photograph are kids and landscapes. he got no formal training, but he believes that, maybe someday he will have the chance to meet the famous photographers around the world and have the chance to work with them.
