Ski Trail by Ronnie Glover

The Tony Knowles Coastal Trail runs about 10 miles from downtown Anchorage to Kincaid park offering wildlife encounters, and activities of running, walking, biking and cross country skiing. On the section, the groomed cross country ski trail winds through the woods. I liked the “S” shaped composition, the contrast of the dark trees versus the white snow, and the sense of exploration or “what lies ahead?”

Dogs and the Hiker by Ronnie Glover

Out exploring the Chugach Mountains on a sunny winter day, I was composing the intersecting ridge lines and light variations when the hiker and dogs topped the ridge line. They paused, taking in the vista or perhaps catching their breaths, long enough for me to capture this image.

This image I made while wandering the streets and alleys of Charleston, South Carolina late one afternoon. I was struck by the symmetry of the windows, the color of the wall and the texture that the sunlight was bringing out on the wall. To me, it had a warm feel from the sunlight
